Cannabis concentrates are highly potent products created by extracting the most desirable compounds from the cannabis plant. These typically include cannabinoids such as THC or CBD, along with aromatic terpenes that contribute to flavor and effects. Certain concentrates, such as live resin or THCa diamonds, are high in THCa until they are dabbed or vaporized. Once heat is applied, the THCa converts into THC, producing psychoactive effects. Other concentrates, like distillate, are already converted into active THC and can be used right away in vapes, edibles, or tinctures.

Arete concentrates may contain trace amounts of THC but always remain within legal limits. Even so, consuming concentrates can still result in a failed drug test.
