Cannabis concentrates are concentrated extracts designed to capture the most valuable elements of the cannabis plant, including cannabinoids like THC and CBD and the plant’s natural terpenes. The extraction process strips away unnecessary plant matter, resulting in a more powerful product that requires less consumption.

These products come in a variety of styles, including shatter, wax, budder, live resin, and rosin, with each type offering its own consistency, potency level, and production technique.

THCa hash rosin is a solventless concentrate. The trichomes are washed off fresh frozen flower with ice water, dried into hash, and then pressed with low heat and pressure into rosin. No butane, ethanol or other solvents are used, so it keeps the strain's full terpene profile, and ours has zero additives and no plant matter. Our THCa hash rosin comes in indica and sativa strains, and our current strains test between 79% and 86% THCa. Each product tile shows its batch's number. THCa diamonds are THCa in its purest crystalline form. Ours start as a hydrocarbon extract called sauce. Diamond mining then grows it into crystals, and the solvents are removed. Our 99% THCa Diamonds lab tested at 99.6% THCa and have zero additives. Because they're nearly pure THCa, they have little flavor of their own and are the strongest product we sell, so start with a very small amount. Choose hash rosin for flavor and a strain-specific experience. It's solventless, rich in terpenes, and comes in indica and sativa strains. Choose diamonds for maximum potency at a lower price per gram. They're 99% THCa with little taste of their own, and you can crush them over a bowl or joint of THCa flower to make it stronger.

Use a dab rig or an electronic rig (e-rig) such as a Puffco. Heat the banger or chamber, add a portion about the size of a grain of rice, and inhale slowly. The heat turns the THCa into THC, so effects come on within moments. Lower temperatures keep more of the flavor. You can also add a little to the top of a bowl or joint. Every batch is tested by an independent third-party lab, and the certificate of analysis (COA) is linked on each product page. THCa diamonds also have a separate safety test report. The main difference between cannabis concentrates and flower comes down to potency and cleanliness. Concentrates are rich in cannabinoids, meaning a smaller amount goes a longer way compared to traditional cannabis.

They also tend to produce a purer taste and smoother inhale since much of the plant material has been removed. No matter the method—vaping, dabbing, or edibles—concentrates provide a streamlined and effective way to enjoy cannabis.

Whether a cannabis concentrate contains THCa or THC depends largely on its processing and intended use. Raw cannabis naturally contains THCa, a non-intoxicating compound that transforms into THC when heat is applied—a chemical change known as decarboxylation.

Many concentrates, including live extracts and THCa crystals, remain rich in THCa until they are heated through vaping or dabbing, at which point THC is produced and psychoactive effects occur. Other products, such as THC distillates, are already activated and designed for immediate use in cartridges, edibles, or tinctures.

Concentrates offered by Arete may include small amounts of THC but always stay within legal guidelines. Despite being compliant, these products can still trigger a positive drug test.
