Pay with Bitcoin
December 12, 2024
Effective immediately: Bitcoin (BTC) will be the only cryptocurrency accepted by Arete.
- Important 1 - Orders paid for with BTC will continue to receive our cryptocurrency discount. Currently, that discount is 50%. Please be aware the percentage is subject to change without notice.
- Important 2 - The BTC discount will not be applied to the product: THCa Flower Bundle.
There will be two options: standard BTC base layer (on-chain) transactions, and transactions via the Lightning Network. The Lightning Network allows for significantly faster settlement times and much lower fees than the base layer.
If you decide to use the Lightning Network you will have to use a compatible wallet (e.g., Aqua or BlueWallet), or use an exchange that allows you to withdraw Bitcoin directly to the Lightning Network. For example, both Strike and River support Lightning Network withdrawals.
On the Checkout page, after you click the Proceed to BTCPay button, you'll be redirected to a page that will similar to this:

This is my favorite way to pay for orders. Very simple and straightforward and the discount is out of this world! You guys don't get enough credit for offering a discount this amazing. I just saw the e-mail mentioning the Crypto discount only being available for a limited time. I really hope you guys reconsider and keep this as a discounted option forever! Either way, I appreciate all your great prices and top quality THC. You will remain the only place that I buy my flower and concentrates. Keep up the great work and don't forget to Puff, Puff, Pass!

Love paying with Bitcoin this is the easiest BTC transaction I have used yet because on the lightning network you can see your invoice and order number from the wallet address alone. Thanks Arete 🔥
