Arete’s Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway 2025

Each year, Arete steps up for our community. This Thanksgiving, we’re giving out hundreds of uncooked turkeys to anyone who needs support during the holiday season.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings and show gratitude for the people and the community around us. Arete believes that being more fortunate comes with a responsibility to share and give back. That is why we are once again proud to announce that for 2025, Arete will be giving away 700 free turkeys to families in Asheville, NC.

When: Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Where: Asheville City School, William Randolph Campus Gymnasium, 90 Montford Ave, Asheville NC

While supplies last.

We know that the past few years have been challenging for many people in Western North Carolina. Just as the area was beginning to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hurricane Helene struck a little over a year ago. The pandemic is over, the storm has passed and while overall things continue to improve, it's important to remind ourselves that many people and families are still struggling.

With the holiday season approaching, we want to do our part to help ensure that no one goes without a Thanksgiving meal. Giving back to the community and supporting those in need is a cornerstone of Arete’s mission. The annual turkey giveaway is one way we can make the holiday a little brighter for our neighbors.
